Entrepreneurship Minor

The Entrepreneurship minor teaches students how to start their own business and successfully launch new ideas.  Courses in the Entrepreneurship minor are designed so students can complete the minor rapidly while still maximizing their knowledge and skills.  Furthermore, the Entrepreneurship minor complements virtually any business or non-business major, allowing students to pursue their primary passion while gaining valuable and practical knowledge and transferable skills.  Students looking to minor in Entrepreneurship can pair this concentration with a variety of other business and non-business majors.

The career opportunities for Entrepreneurship minors are plentiful and varied.  Some examples of employment OU students may find with an Entrepreneurship minor include starting a production company, opening a restaurant or bar, form a tutoring business, or launch a software company.  In addition, the Entrepreneurship minor can help students enter job fields with established companies by providing a unique and desirable skill set.  Career services can help students narrow their career focus.

Students who minor in Entrepreneurship have access to several different student organizations on OU’s campus.  Some student organizations are Beta Gamma Sigma, the business honors society and Alpha Kappa Psi, the business fraternity.  These organizations give students the opportunity to become more involved with the student body, develop leadership skills, open doors for internships and jobs, and cultivate friendships that can last a lifetime.
