Where you'll live

Room assignments will be sent by early August via OU email. You’ll receive instructions on how to access your new address, and the name(s) of your room and/or suitemates.

Lofts

Hamlin Hall, Hill House, the Oak View Hall double suites, Vandenberg Hall, and Van Wagoner House come furnished with loftable beds. Other types of lofts are not to be built in these buildings. To view the multiple configurations that may be created with the provided furniture, please click here.

Personal lofts are permitted in student rooms in Fitzgerald House, and must be freestanding. Platform lofts (i.e., false floors) are not permitted. All building materials must be cut and/or shaped outside the building. Once a loft is put together, it must be registered by completing a  Loft Registration Form. A copy of the completed form, with the signatures of all owners and appropriate staff members, must be attached to the loft in a visible location. Before building a loft, read through OU’s loft construction guidelines and check out the loft diagrams, which will help you build a loft to suit your needs.
