Patricia Dolly, Ed.D., Senior Advisor to the President on Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, has been named one of the Michigan Chronicle’s 2016 Women of Excellence.

On Friday, May 13, at the Cobo Center in Detroit, the Michigan Chronicle – this year celebrating its 80th Anniversary – celebrated Dr. Dolly among 100 of the region’s most influential men and women.

The Michigan Chronicle’s Celebration of Excellence Awards celebrates local African-American men and women who inspire others through vision and leadership, exceptional achievements, and participation in community service.

“These distinguished men and women not only have professional success to their credit but (they) are beacons for the African-American community through-out the region,” said Hiram Jackson, CEO of Real Times Media and publisher of Michigan Chronicle.

Dolly was chosen by the Michigan Chronicle’s readership as a winner among hundreds of nominees. In addition to those chosen being honored, the Chronicle will publish a special commemorative tabloid insert showcasing the winners’ accomplishments.

“I was truly honored to be among such a distinguished group of community leaders,” Dolly said of the award.
