David Stewart is a Medical Librarian and Assistant Professor at the Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine. He has a diverse and extensive background in the information sciences that spans over two decades both in public and academic environments.

Mr. Stewart received his Masters of Library and Information Science from Wayne State University in 2011, and served in multiple libraries, including Oakland Community College as an Adjunct Librarian, before joining Oakland University.

Mr. Stewart is a member of multiple organizations, including the Medical Library Association, the Metropolitan Detroit Medical Library Group, and the Michigan Health Sciences Libraries Association. Mr. Stewart is a graduate of the 2023 OUWB Diversity Cohort and currently serves on Kresge Library’s Sustainability and Events, Exhibits, and Marketing Committees.
