Oakland University Housing Interest Form
Oakland Community College (OCC) students enrolled in at least six credit hours at OCC during the semester that wish to live on Oakland University’s (OU’s) campus are eligible for on-campus housing at OU, subject to space availability.
OCC residents must remain current on all payments in order to maintain eligibility for on-campus housing. Failure to submit timely payment will result in the cancellation of the OCC resident's housing contract and room assignment, and will render them ineligible for on-campus housing in the following semester.
No, your financial aid from OCC will not directly cover the cost of housing at OU.
Since OCC and OU are separate institutions, financial aid awarded through OCC cannot be applied directly to your OU housing charges. Your aid will first be disbursed to OCC and used to cover your tuition and fees there.
If any funds remain after that, OCC may issue you a refund, and you can choose to use that refund as you see fit, including using it toward payment of housing costs at OU -- but please note that refunds are typically not released until midway through the semester. Housing payments to Oakland University must be made in accordance with the designated payment schedule, regardless of financial aid status.
If you have questions about your financial aid, please contact:
