Academic Programs

The Department of Art, Art History and Design offers B.A. degrees and minors in art history, art and graphic design. Our majors have access to state-of-the-art facilities and are mentored by 10 full-time and 25 part-time faculty. Art, art history and design departmental programs include group visits to the Detroit Institute of Arts and other public and private art collections around the city. Enrollment is easy and there are no portfolio requirements for art or graphic design.

We also offer 2 unique study abroad opportunities: Art History students in Volterra, Italy and Art and Design in Morocco.
