We are dedicated to supporting you as you begin, continue, and successfully complete that journey.

Although funding your education may seem challenging at times, we are here to help you:

  • Financially prepare for each unique stage of the medical education adventure
  • Proactively monitor and manage student loans
  • Strategically establish a plan for repayment of student loans

Our team supports student financial wellness through individual student advising as well as through facilitating group sessions on various topics throughout students time at OUWB. Examples of the types of topics discussed in group sessions include: personal budgeting, developing financial goals, strategic loan borrowing, repayment plans and forgiveness programs, and preparing for financial milestones and transitions as a physician-in-training.

OUWB Financial Services is conveniently located in the Center for Medical Student Services at 216 O’Dowd Hall. Our services are available to all OUWB students whether or not you use financial aid funding.

Scheduled in-person and virtual appointments as well as walk-in appointments are welcome. Our team is here to serve you Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. ET. After-hours appointments and Beaumont-Royal Oak appointments are also available if scheduled in advance.

Gregory Ashe, M.M.
Associate Director of Financial Services

An image of Gregory AsheGregory Ashe is the associate director of Financial Services. His responsibilities include financial aid reporting, forecasting, and data entry; financial services communications; and financial wellness program development and implementation. Additionally, he proactively and collaboratively works across OUWB and Oakland University departments to ensure optimal student service as well as policy compliance.

Mr. Ashe has been working in higher education in financial aid for more than 15 years. He came to Oakland University in 2014 as the financial aid advisor in the Office of Student Financial Services, where he advanced to the position of senior financial aid outreach advisor in 2017. Prior to working at Oakland, he was the assistant director of Financial Aid at Tiffin University in Ohio.

Mr. Ashe received his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Bowling Green State
University in Ohio.
Autumn Robinson, MBA
Financial Services Advisor

An image of Autumn RobinsonAutumn Robinson is the Financial Services Advisor. In her current role, Autumn provides personalized guidance to ensure students can access the financial resources they need, from managing student loans to identifying scholarship opportunities and creating comprehensive funding strategies. Autumn works closely with students and their families to assess their financial needs, helping them make informed decisions to pursue their academic and professional goals without financial barriers.

Autumn combines expertise in both finance and behavioral sciences. She has a rich history in the financial services field, having previously served as a Financial Aid Advisor and Financial Aid Program Coordinator. Autumn is also pursuing a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, driven by a passion to integrate financial guidance with a holistic understanding of mental health. She is deeply committed to supporting students' financial well-being while fostering a balanced, mindful approach to life and financial success.

Autumn earned an MBA from San Diego State University and a Bachelor’s in Psychology from Oakland University.
