COVID-19 Information

COVID-19 has impacted communities across the entire United States. We're aware of the difficulties this may cause prospective students as they look to apply to medical schools. Based on feedback we've received and recommendations from the Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC), there are some changes to our admissions requirements for the 2020-2021 admissions cycle. We remain committed to reviewing applications in a holistic nature to identify those who most strongly align with the mission, vision, and values of OUWB. As this situation is fluid, additional changes may be made and those changes will be announced on our website and in the AAMC's Medical School Admission Requirements (MSAR). Feel free to contact us via email at medadmit@oakland.edu if you have any questions.

Welcome to OUWB!

We appreciate your interest in the Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine. As noted in our mission statement, our collaborative, diverse, and inclusive learning community is dedicated to enabling our medical students to become skillful, ethical, and compassionate physicians.

In our admissions review process, we utilize a mission-based, holistic review. Through this
process we look to attract bright and talented applicants who share the mission, vision, and values of OUWB. Applicants who are most successful have demonstrated their commitment to serving their communities, as well as the medical profession.

We encourage you to learn more about what makes our program a creative and vibrant
environment, centered around student success. If you still have questions after reviewing the website, we welcome the opportunity to speak with you by phone, via email, or in person during an upcoming webinar, Preview Day, or visit to your campus.
