Students as Partners

Through Pedagogical Partners and our internship program, CETL honors the OU Pledge by providing undergraduate and graduate students with meaningful, hands-on learning opportunities. By collaborating with us on projects related to education, training and development, and professional writing, students transform academic knowledge into experience-based expertise. This commitment to high impact practices empowers students as innovators and partners, fueling their career readiness and enabling substantive professional contributions to the Oakland University community. Pedagogical Partnerships

The Pedagogical Partnerships Program connects Oakland University students and faculty to enhance teaching and learning across campus. Led by CETL, the program is co-sponsored by the Division of Academic Affairs.

More about Pedagogical Partnerships

Pedagogical Partnership is an increasingly popular student-faculty teaching in higher education program, popularized by Alison Cook-Sather’s 2014 book republished as an open access book in 2019: Pedagogical Partnerships: A How-To Guide for Faculty, Students, and Academic Developers in Higher Education.
