Student Organizations

Oakland University’s Psychology Department supports several student organizations, allowing emerging professionals to network and gain hands-on experience in conjunction with their studies. Each organization blazes the trail for students to tailor their studies into a range of career pathways.

Psi Chi

The Department of Psychology sponsors a chapter of Psi Chi, the national honor society in psychology. The chapter collaborates with members of the department to sponsor a speakers' series, annual advising workshops, and other academic and social events open to all interested students and faculty.

The purpose of Psi Chi is to encourage, stimulate, and maintain excellence in scholarship of the individual members in all fields, particularly in psychology, and to advance the science of psychology.
