The Employee Resource Network (ERN) is a secured environment dedicated to hosting faculty and staff resources including news, documents, spreadsheets, PDFs and other assets targeted towards OU faculty and staff.
The primary objective while developing the ERN was to build a repository for faculty and staff resources, while also focusing on ease of use, aesthetics, simplifying content and decreasing the ADA vulnerability on www.oakland.edu. The ERN also allows for faculty and staff to host content, PDF’s, Docs, Spreadsheets and other assets without the need for additional ADA remediation work that is required prior to offering them live on www.oakland.edu.
In addition to the removal of the ADA restrictions, the content management system for the ERN is Percussion and offers sections a left hand navigation, tabs and dropdowns, similar to what is offered on www.oakland.edu, to help organize the faculty and staff resources each section offers.
