New web tool spotlights post-graduation outcomes among OU students
OU graduates

Oakland University has introduced a new web tool that provides information on the career and educational pursuits of OU students following graduation.

The Post-Graduation Outcomes Dashboard is a searchable database that provides post-graduation details on OU students from the 2015-2020 academic years. Users can search by academic year, college/school and major.

The dashboard includes a wide range of information, including:

  • Percentage of graduates employed
  • Percentage of graduates who engaged in experiential learning
  • Percentage of graduates who pursued continuing education
  • Companies where graduates completed internships
  • Companies where graduates are employed
  • Sample Job titles
  • Median salary earnings

The dashboard was a collaborative effort between OU Career Services and University Communications and Marketing. It uses the First-Destination Survey results administered annually by Oakland University Career Services. The survey content, timeline, and procedures align with guidelines by the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE).

“Despite the on-going surge of the pandemic, the college labor market has proven to be resilient with periods of robust job growth in many industry sectors. Employers continue to be active by adapting their recruiting processes to using more digital assisted technologies in a virtual environment,” said OU’s Senior Director of Career Services, Wayne Thibodeau. “We are excited to launch this interactive web tool to highlight key career outcomes to future golden grizzlies and their families, which demonstrate the impact our college graduates have in the region. Oakland University students and parents can use this website as a tool to assess career trend data and the impact OU graduates have in the region.”

The dashboard is available at Oakland.edu/app/post-grad-dsh/.
