Oakland University was recently recognized on the America’s Top Online Colleges 2022 List, published by Newsweek and Statistica Inc. The list highlights the nation’s top colleges with online degrees and is based on an online survey with over 12,000 assessments from more than 9,000 respondents who participated in online college degree programs and general online learning courses in the U.S.

Respondents rated the institutions across a range of criteria, including organization and accessibility, support and service, cost of program, perceived organizational reputation, expected success and practical relevance of content. Respondents also indicated how satisfied they were with the institution and to what extent they would recommend it to others.

The list was published on the Newsweek website and in the November 19 print edition of Newsweek Magazine. Oakland was ranked #72 out of 150 colleges on the list and received a five-star rating, which was awarded to institutions that achieved a total score value above the median score of all institutions on the list.

Oakland offers a variety of fully and partially online programs in nursing, engineering, business, education, political science and health sciences. To learn more about online education at Oakland, visit oakland.edu/online/online-programs.
