The Keeper of the Dream scholarship was created in 1993 by the Center for Multicultural Initiatives at Oakland University. The scholarships go to students who honor Martin Luther King’s mission and work toward making a more inclusive and equitable world. This year, nine recipients were awarded the scholarship for their hard work, compassion and for encapsulating King’s life work.
