Presented by Ron Sandison, successful adult, author, and employee with ASD

Many individuals with autism experience depression and motivational challenges. Ron examines common obstacles to growth, decision-making, and independence, as well as strategies to overcome these barriers. Ron shares his own personal struggle with depression and anxiety including how he was able to overcome them to become a successful father, author, professional, and motivational speaker.

Topics will include:

  • Empowering individuals with autism to overcome depression and hopelessness
  • Strategies to overcome the hindrances to growth and motivation
  • Helping children and young adults with autism cope and build self-confidence
  • Developing hope for the future

Ron Sandison is an advisory board member of the Faith Initiative of the Autism Society of America & board member of The Art of Autism. Sandison holds a Masters of Divinity from Oral Roberts University and is the author of A Parent’s Guide to Autism: Practical Advice.

This event is designed for individuals with ASD, parents and caregivers of teens and adults with autism, as well as professionals who work with people impacted by autism and anyone interested in learning about the topic.
