Chang-kyu Kwon
Dr. Chang-kyu Kwon is an Assistant Professor of Human Resource Development in the Department of Organizational Leadership at Oakland University, Rochester, MI. He is a diversity and inclusion expert specializing in disability issues across various settings, including corporations, higher education institutions, and community-based agencies. Dr. Kwon’s research focuses on theorizing "whole-person inclusion" through which all organizational members can feel comfortable expressing their identities, and thereby aims to enhance the work and career experiences of people with disabilities along with those of other marginalized people. He is currently serving as a member of the Oakland University Council on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, leading an initiative in partnerships with industries that seeks to develop the careers of students with disabilities. He has also recently consulted with NFL Media to improve the accessibility of its services to people who are blind or visually impaired. Dr. Kwon’s research has appeared in leading academic journals in the field, such as Human Resource Development Quarterly and Human Resource Development Review, and has been recognized by the Academy of Human Resource Development through its 2019 Cutting Edge Award.
