Kicking off the Fall 2015 Semester

Tue Nov 10, 2015 at 04:14 PM

Jon Margerum-Leys, Ph.D.Today marks the first day of the Fall 2015 semester. Oakland University's School of Education and Human Services officially welcomed our new Dean, Jon Margerum-Leys, Ph.D. back in July, just in time for him to help us kick off the new academic year. Dr. Margerum-Leys joins Oakland from California Polytechnic State University at San Luis Obispo, where he was Dean of the School of Education. He brings to Oakland University more than a decade of expertise in academic administration and nearly three decades of scholarship in educational media, technology and teaching at the K-12 level. In each of his roles, Jon has excelled as a colleague, an educator, and most of all as a leader.

Each fall, we welcome new graduate students into new cohorts including our M.Ed. in Special Education with Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) programs, Ed.S. in Leadership with K-12 Administration, MAT in Elementary & Secondary Education, Early Childhood ZA-ZS Endorsement option, and more.

This fall, our students will have the opportunity to take classes from any of our locations including the main campus in Rochester, Michigan and our convenient off-site locations in Clinton Township, Michigan, Grand Blanc, Michigan, and online.

Best of luck to all of our new students beginning a program!
