Oakland University is pleased to invite you to join us at the School of Music Theatre and Dance for our annual Voice Day. This year, the focus will be on vocal function and health. Our guest speaker is Dr. Adam Rubin from the Lake Shore Ear Nose and Throat Center. Before attending medical school, he was a professional actor and singer, member of Actors Equity Association, Screen Actors Guild, and the American Federation of Television and Radio Artists. He has performed in musicals and plays at off-Broadway and regional theaters, as well as in a national tour. Along with a colleague from Speech pathology, Dr. Rubin will walk us through the anatomical function of the singing voice and offer tips to maintain healthy function for vocal longevity. Singers of all ages and skill levels will leave with a new understanding of the inner workings of the voice.
