RESEARCH INTERESTS: 20th Century French Literature and Film, Bible and Literature, Cultural Studies, French Translation

Prof. Josephy joined Oakland University as an Assistant Professor in 2017 after studying at Western University and l’Université Paris-Nanterre. Her principle field of research is in 20th century French fiction with a special emphasis on the Hebrew Bible and Jewish thought and philosophy in French literature and culture. Her doctoral work focuses specifically on the intersection between religion and crime fiction, and she is currently working on publishing her dissertation: The Biblical Detective: Daniel, “Belshazzar’s Feast”, and the Underground History of the Detective Novel ( Le détective biblique: Daniel, « Le festin de Balthazar » ou une histoire souterraine du roman policier ).
