Faculty members have an additional feature within SAIL to send out email messages to their entire class. If there are problems using the Email Class function, confirm that MS Outlook is configured on the computer with their Oakland email account. When an attempt is made to email a class with an enrollment over 100, Outlook does not launch.

Using MS Outlook

  1. Right-click on the Email Class
  2. Select Copy Link Location
  3. Paste into the BCC field within MS Outlook
  4. Delete the " mailto:" in the beginning of the email addresses

Using Internet Explorer

  1. Right click on Email Class
  2. Choose copy Email Addresses
  3. Paste into the BCC within MS Outlook
  4. Delete the " mailto:?Bcc= " at the beginning of the email addresses

Using Mozilla Firefox

  1. Right click on Email Class
  2. Choose copy shortcut
  3. Paste into the BCC within MS Outlook
  4. Delete the " mailto:?Bcc= " at the beginning of the email addresses
