What is the OU Microsoft Campus Agreement?
This document explains the Microsoft Campus Agreement at Oakland University and how it is administered.
1. What products are available?
The specific product versions supported are defined in the current Desktop Service Level Agreement, available on the OU Help Desk Website under the Help Documents Library Section:
Windows Desktop Operating System (Note: Computer must have a pre-existing Windows Operating System installed, refer to the Desktop Service Level Agreement for minimum requirements)
Office Suite for Windows — (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access, Publisher, InfoPath, OneNote)
Office Suite for Macintosh — (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Visual Studio Suite for Windows
- Web Expressions for Windows
2. Who is eligible to have these products installed?
Computers that were purchased with university funds are eligible to have the Microsoft Campus Agreement software installed.
3. Who can install these products on my computer?
Please call the OU Help Desk to request a software installation. (Some departments have support personnel authorized to install the software, feel free to check your computer support person for details.)
4. Are Windows Server licenses covered under this agreement?
At this time, Windows Server licenses are not covered under this particular agreement. Agreements are renewed annually; future agreements may include server operating systems.
