New Graduate Students SAIL and Email Login

Step 1: Get Grizzly ID Number and PIN

  • Your Grizzly ID (student identification) number is printed on your admissions letter from the Office of Graduate Study, (248) 370-2700.
  • If you do not know your PIN or need to change your PIN, follow the instructions at

Step 2: Obtain your NetID and Password

  • Go to Click on “Obtain your account or reset your password.”
  • Enter in your Grizzly ID and PIN.
  • Create a new NetID password.
  • Click the “Reset Password” button to complete the process and obtain your NetID username.

Step 3: Check out MySAIL

  • Go to and click MySAIL ( the upper right-hand corner of the page.
  • Enter your NetID username and password and click Login.
  • Click SAIL to access Student Services & Financial Aid, click on Registration, click Select Term. Your Grizzly ID number (G#) and name are displayed on the top right corner of the screen. Make a note of your Grizzly ID number.

You may access; Library, SAIL, Registration, Financial Aid, Moodle, and Webmail.

Note: eBill requires GrizzlyID number and PIN to login.

  • If you forget your NetID username or password go to, click “Obtain your account or reset your password” and complete the form process. You must know your Grizzly ID number and SAIL pin.
  • If you forget your PIN go to /uts/student-services/resetpin and follow the instructions. If you cannot remember your pin hint question, you must contact the helpdesk and request that it be manually reset.
  • If you forget or do not know your Grizzly ID, returning students may visit a student services office with proper identification.
