Honors College Summer Experience Program
July 10-12, 2018

A pre-college prep program, the Honors College Summer Experience at Oakland University is a residential program that will provide honors-bound high school students the opportunity to discover what it is like to be in an honors college. This fun, three-day program features not only faculty but also Honors College upperclassmen who will work with you throughout your summer experience.

  • Learn about the benefits of joining an Honors College
  • Take the opportunity to complete an Honors project
  • Talk with an Honors College dean, faculty, and students
  • Discover what it’s like to be in the top five percent of college undergraduates in the nation

The Honors College Summer Experience is designed for pre-college students - high school student who will be in their sophomore, junior or senior year in fall 2018 - with a 3.7 GPA or higher, or those who are likely to achieve a result in that academic range but who come with strong recommendations from teachers.

Over the three days and evenings of this exciting program, led by the Dean of the Honors College, you will have the opportunity to undertake team projects in small groups, to develop critical and creative skills relevant to whatever interests you might have, and to find out about undergraduate research and project work that will equip you for success in your future chosen career.
