Grizz Gold Card and OU Credit Union

Members of Oakland University have the option to upgrade their GrizzCard to the Grizz Gold Card with the Oakland University Credit Union. The Grizz Gold Card is a GrizzCard and Visa Debit Card combined into one card. This convenient card provides cardholders with access to all campus GrizzCard features, including GrizzCa$h, meal plans and door access, and is also linked to a totally free checking account, with nationwide CO-OP ATM access.

Getting the Grizz Gold Card

If you already have an OU Credit Union Totally Gold Checking account, you can stop in the ID Card Office or the Oakland Center branch of the OU Credit Union to upgrade your standard GrizzCard to the Grizz Gold Card.

If you don’t already have an OU Credit Union checking account, opening one is easy! Stop in the Oakland Center branch of the OU Credit Union to open your account. Opening an account only requires a $5 deposit to your Grizzly Saver. Visit the Oakland University Credit Union for more information.

Using the Grizz Gold Card

The Grizz Gold Card has two magnetic strips and an EMV chip. To use the card for an on-campus GrizzCard purpose, the gold magnetic strip is swiped. To use the card to make purchases using an OUCU Totally Gold Checking account, the black strip is swiped or the EMV chip is inserted.
