Oakland University is committed to ensure all prospective and current students have access information to assist them in making informed financial decisions when selecting a school. The following websites will provide prospective students and admitted students with consumer financial tools as they make decisions about higher education.
Prospective students and their families can use the College Scorecard to evaluate options in selecting a college.
Students can receive detailed financial information for up to three schools at one time by accessing the Paying for College website.
Students can obtain information about a school’s tuition and fees, retention and graduation rates, use of financial aid, student loan default rates, calculate costs and compare schools by accessing College Navigator.
All Oakland University students with financial aid awards can view their awards on MySail. Students can also view the Financial Aid Shopping Sheet, which is an award letter designed by the U.S. Department of Education, intended to simplify estimated costs and financial aid awards in a format easy to compare to other institutions. If you have financial aid awards, you can access the Shopping Sheet on MySail. Veterans are encouraged to speak with a financial aid adviser and review the Financial Aid Policies, Terms, and Conditions Section 5 before dropping or withdrawing from a class.
Oakland University students who are members of the National Guard are eligible to apply for the OU Michigan Army and Air National Guard Award. Once the application and all other certification documents have been received, Student Financial Services will notify recipients of the award.
