Graduate Research Assistants provide approximately 10 hours of service per week, over the course of a semester and under the supervision of faculty members. The Nutrition Program has a Graduate Assistantship available for the 2026-2027 academic year. Graduate Teaching Assistant (TA) have a primary responsibility in a teaching capacity. They provide approximately 10 hours of service per week over the course of a semester. Responsibilities include assisting in the refinement and implementation of lecture and lab activities for Sarah Martin. The majority of duties will be in NTR 4300, Foodservice Management, NTR 2700, Introduction to Food Science and NTR 2750, Introduction to Culinary Skills. The courses will be taught in fall 2026 and winter 2027. The GA will be required to attend all lectures in-person labs for NTR 4300 and NTR 2750 to assist with the weekly labs, including setting and cleaning up, and grading assignments as needed. Candidates will be required to grocery shop each week and transport groceries to Rochester High School before lab during the Winter 2027. As such, the candidates must be available as follows: Fall 2026 (Wednesday 10am – 2pm) and Winter 2027 (Wednesday 3:00p-7:15p). The GA may also assist with other nutrition courses, lead a lab, lecture or discussion section, participate in curriculum development meetings, and other activities to support the nutrition program and faculty. A background in nutrition and culinary skills (e.g. having taken NTR 2500/ 2700/ 2750, EXS 4030, WHP 4000/4030, or similar), is preferred. A first-year graduate student who can continue working in the 2027-2028 academic year is desired. JOB TITLE: PUB Summer Academy Head Resident DATES: June 12-Aug 5, 2026 (dates may vary slightly)RATE: $800/week gross plus room & board HOURS: 40 hours Sunday evening - Friday eveningREPORTS TO: Project Director POSITIONS AVAILABLE: 1PURPOSE: Live in and continually supervise PUB’s residential environment (high school minors and Res Team).PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:Assist in the selection of the Peer Mentors (PMs).Supervise the Residential Team (Peer Mentors (PM) and one Night-Watch Person), including facilitating frequent team meetings and weekly performance reviews for the purpose of professional development.Partner with PUB’s Admin Team to present initial training and assure PM participation in ongoing training.Develop and ensure implementation of comprehensive team duty rosters, such as on-call, recreational activity supervision, and other relevant duties.Coordinate identification and implementation of a six-week evening schedule of social, cultural, and recreational activities. Assure Scholars’ timely arrival at and active participation in scheduled evening activities.Conduct nightly dorm meetings with Scholars and PMs. Monitor mediation team proceedings. Attend joint meetings with the Administrative and Academic Teams as required.Assure accurate and thorough pre and post-building and room inventories. The Chairperson is responsible for the following:Understanding and fulfilling the regulations stated in these Bylaws, as well as the Constitution and Bylaws of the University Student Congress.Interpreting the SAFB Bylaws-The Judiciary Committee shall make final interpretations of the Bylaws in the event that an interpretation made by the Chairperson is challenged.Ensuring that all allocation decisions are made in a fair, equitable, impartial, and timely manner, pursuant to these regulations.Handling the adjudication of all waiver requests pursuant to the corresponding rules and regulations.-The Board may override the Chairperson’s decisions regarding waivers by a majority vote.The scheduling and formal conduction of regular Board meetings as well as any special or emergency sessions or hearings.The Chairperson has the authority to set the attendance policy for the Board. Consequences for a violation of the attendance policy shall be decided by the Chairperson.-All Board members must be allowed to utilize excused absences for meetings.-The Chairperson may permit the Associate Chairperson to conduct or attend meetings in the Chairperson’s absence.Maintaining all records for any action taken by the Board.-The records from prior terms are required to be kept for a minimum of seven (7) years to comply with the University auditing policies.-All records may be submitted to the Congressional archives.-Providing regularly updated records to the Advisor as well as the Office of Student Involvement’s (OSI) Accounting Clerk on a weekly basis.Developing forms and procedures to fulfill the responsibilities of the Board as outlined in these regulations.If the Chairperson designates the use of a new form to meet funding requirements, the use must be announced at the following General Body Meeting of the University Student Congress.Conducting a minimum of one (1) training session per funding period during the academic year for student organizations to attend.Attendance to these trainings may be required for an organization to maintain good standing with the Board.The Board may, at their discretion, decide to hold additional training sessions per funding period if necessary.Providing a copy of these regulations, as well as any addenda, to all student organizations in either paper and/or electronic format.Chairperson may terminate any board member from their position, pending the approval of the Judiciary committeeThe Chairperson and/or their designee(s) will be responsible for conducting audits.
