Clinical and Diagnostic Sciences (Nuclear Medicine Technology)
The Nuclear Medicine Technology (NMT) specialization prepares students for a clinical internship.
Nuclear Medicine Technologists use radioactive substances in the diagnosis and treatment of disease. Diagnosis may involve organ imaging using gamma counters to detect radioactive material that has been administered to a patient. Therapeutic doses of radioactive materials are also given to patients to treat specific diseases.
