German Language and Literature

With a degree in French, Japanese, German or Spanish language and literature or Latin American language and civilization, you will be prepared for careers involving the study and application of language skills, nationally or internationally.

You also have the opportunity to prepare for a career in teaching French, German, Japanese or Spanish at the secondary level with the Secondary Teacher Education Program (STEP), leading to a recommendation for certification to the Michigan Department of Education, as well as several teaching minors available.
