Both alumni of Oakland’s business school, Dutkiewicz and Kimball join an active board comprised of business leaders who support the school in developing transformational programs that integrate education with real-world application and skills.

“The business school benefits greatly from the input, counsel and support our board members share. We are fortunate to have these business leaders involved in the school, serving on our board,” said Michael A. Mazzeo, Ph.D., dean and professor of finance, Oakland’s School of Business Administration. "We are delighted that Stefanie and Rob will join the team, sharing their expertise and insight.”

For Kimball and Dutkiewicz, joining the b-school’s Board of Visitors is another way to serve to the school.

Kimball, an Oakland Economics alumni, has more than 35 years of experience in the financial services industry. She joined Independent Bank Corporation in 2007 as Chief Lending Officer and Executive Vice President of Commercial Lending. In 2012 she was named Chief Risk Officer and Executive Vice President. Prior to that, Kimball was Senior Vice President, Credit Strategies and Solutions of Comerica, Incorporated, in Detroit, where her tenure included senior-level roles of increasing responsibility in credit risk management, process improvement and technology innovation.

Kimball has been actively involved at the Oakland business school for many years, including serving on the Economics Department Advisory Board, teaching part time and establishing an Independent Bank scholarship for OU business students.

Dutkiewicz, an Oakland Accounting alumni, joined Clayton & McKervey, a full service accounting, tax and consulting firm servicing growth-driven internationally-minded companies, in 1988. He was named president in 2016. He leads a sizable team devoted to providing proactive and specialized knowledge on the domestic and international tax and accounting issues impacting foreign-owned companies.

An active member of the OU Accounting and Finance Advisory Board, Dutkiewicz also served as chair. In that role he regularly meets with the department chair, professors, administrators and students to discuss industry trends, academic courses and other programs in the business school.
