Open to all Oakland University students. Come ready to explore professional possibilities in the nine business majors available at OU’s business school. At this panel-style event, you will meet with employers who are professionals in the field, as well as faculty, staff and current students. You’ll:

The Accounting major prepares students for careers in public accounting, industry and government. Accounting professionals are individuals focus on analyzing and measuring business activity, processing that data into reports and communicating the information to decision makers. Accountants apply their skills in areas such as auditing, cost management, financial analysis, information systems, management, policy and taxation. Accounting is often the pathway to top management of a corporation.


Finance majors learn the theory and analytical tools associated with finance related decision-making in organizations. A major in Finance will help you develop the essential skills for careers in financial reporting and analysis and investment portfolio management for profit or not-for-profit organizations.
