Biography

Ben Waller joined the Writing and Rhetoric faculty in 2022 and teaches WRT 1060: Composition II for the department. He has over 15 years of experience teaching different levels of writing and a wide variety of literature, as well as grammar and linguistics. Prior to joining OU, Dr. Waller taught at a small liberal arts college in Nebraska, where he chaired the Department of Languages and Literature and the Curriculum Committee for the Faculty Senate. Dr. Waller’s scholarship focuses on Medieval literature, language, and culture, which he has presented on at the International Medieval Congress in Kalamazoo numerous times. His teaching philosophy comprises student-centered, problem-posing education and multi-modal pedagogy.
