Biography

Lauren E. Rinke has been teaching at Oakland University since 2010. In addition to teaching first-year writing courses, she facilitates the fall and spring Writing Marathons, Meadow Brook Writing Project youth writing workshops, and has acted as a Faculty Adviser for Orientation and New Student Programs, as well as an English Program Mentor for the Department of English.

As an alum and instructor, Lauren loves the community and atmosphere of Oakland. She achieves to foster within her students the ability to communicate and write conscientiously and coherently, in order to maintain successful academic and professional careers, and hopefully effect positive change in the world. Lauren Rinke was the recipient of the WRT Teaching Excellence Award in 2017.
