COVID-19 Employee Emergency Fund

In response to the nationwide COVID-19 outbreak, Oakland University has established an emergency fund to provide some financial support to eligible, active OU employees. Funds, generated through fundraising efforts, are limited and will be awarded to individuals with the greatest financial hardships resulting from the outbreak. Those interested are encouraged to submit requests using the COVID-19 Employee Emergency Fund Request Form.

Award Criteria
The maximum amount disbursed will be up to $500 per request and awards will typically be limited to one per person. Awards are contingent upon available funding. Applications will be reviewed by a committee and prioritized based on those with the greatest financial need. University Human Resources will notify applicants regarding award decisions.

Eligibility Requirements
Staff - Applicants must be current OU employees and be able to demonstrate their financial need/hardship as a result of COVID-19.

Faculty - Applicants must be current OU faculty members who taught during the 2019- 20 academic year and be able to demonstrate their financial need/hardship as a result of COVID-19.
