Research/Scholarship: 
Dr. Black has presented and published research related to the clinical education of physical therapist students and physical therapist health promotion practice. She is currently working with colleagues in Texas and Minnesota on the development of the Physical Therapy Healthy Lifestyle Appraisal, an assessment tool to help physical therapists assess the current health-related behaviors of their patients. She co-authored the chapter on “Promoting Health and Wellness” in the 7th edition of “Physical Rehabilitation” published in 2019.
