Morgan Behen Memorial Scholarship for Exemplary Students in Elementary Education Endowment

Morgan Behen Memorial Scholarship for Exemplary Students in Elementary Education Endowment

This fund was established by the Behen family in memory of Morgan Mckenzie Behen. Morgan Behen passed away in October 2016 after an eighteen-month battle with cancer at the age of 22. Morgan taught all who crossed her path what true kindness and courage looking like. Even on her most challenging days, Morgan could always bring a smile to the faces of friends and family.

As a budding teacher, Morgan graduated from Oakland University with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education. She was looking forward to continuing her work with children in hopes of working with students with special needs. Her kind heart and generous spirit shone through even more when she was talking about students and how she could best serve them.

This fund was established to assist students that share Morgan’s goal and passion to teach and leave an impression on the world, one child at a time.
