PSA Executive Director, Judeen Bartos, joined with friends, family, and Star International Academy staff to honor the memory of Mohammed Wutwut by retiring his No. 79 football jersey during the annual Family Engagement Parade on September 21. Wutwut was swimming with friends in Cass Lake in Waterford on July 8 when he had trouble and disappeared beneath the surface. Rescue efforts of the Oakland County Sheriff’s dive team, Waterford Police and Fire Departments, Keego Harbor Police, and Michigan Department of Natural Resources were unsuccessful.

According to Star International Superintendent, Nawal Hamadeh, the late Mohammed Wutwut lived the school’s four pillars: scholarship, character, culture and community. Hamadeh announced that all 2017 football season games will be dedicated to Wutwut and a scholarship will be dedicated in his name.
