Campus event to highlight mentorship and national security

Oakland University and the Center for Civic Engagement are hosting a unique event with former U.S. Secretary of State Madeleine Albright and current U.S. Congresswoman Elissa Slotkin.

The duo will visit OU's campus on Thursday, February 20 for a public event from 10-11 a.m. in the Banquet Rooms of the Oakland Center.

Secretary Albright and Congresswoman Slotkin will discuss national service, the value of mentorship, and the importance of national security in a panel discussion led by Beth Talbert, special instructor in the Department of Communication, Journalism and Public Relations and chief undergraduate adviser for the Communications Program.

Please RSVP for the event as seating is limited.

The Center for Civic Engagement also has a place to submit a question for Secretary Albright and/or Congresswoman Slotkin on the registration page.
