Diverse Voices conference to focus on inclusivity
This year’s keynote speaker is Dr. Warren E. Whitaker, senior postdoctoral fellow in Education from the Department of Organizational Leadership in the School of Education and Human Services.

The 18th annual Diverse Voices Conference will be hosted at Oakland University in Varner Recital Hall from 10 a.m. - 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 21.

Diverse Voices provides a supportive forum for Oakland University students, faculty, staff and community members to learn about and speak out in support of valuing all aspects of human diversity.

This year’s conference theme is “What Does Inclusivity Look Like in a Virtual World?” This year’s keynote speaker is Dr. Warren E. Whitaker, senior postdoctoral fellow in Education from the Department of Organizational Leadership in the School of Education and Human Services.

Additional conference speakers include: Michelle Southward, director of academic advising and student services from the School of Health Sciences, as well as graduate and undergraduate students from the School of Education and Human Services.

Entertainment will be provided by the Oakland University Steel Drum Band and refreshments will be provided. There is no cost to attend and the conference is open to the public.

This year’s conference is being sponsored by The Office of the Provost, The Division of Student Affairs and Diversity, and the Department of Organizational Leadership in the School of Education and Human Services.
