Michigan Life Sciences Council

OU INC services the medical device community through strategic partners such as the Michigan Life Sciences Council. The Council is a consortium of business professionals that offer their expertise to businesses in the life sciences fields. Understanding the needs of advanced manufacturing and healthcare in Michigan, the Life Sciences Council is a “one-stop shop” for companies in the emerging life sciences sector. It allows online and one-on-one access to legal, financial and tax experts, as well as many other professionals in their respective fields.

There is an increasing demand for new products and services from Michigan’s life science sector, covering fields from traditional health care, chiropractic and holistic care to medical devices. The Council is poised to assist these organizations as they grow and face new challenges. All of the professionals have many years of experience in their particular niche of life sciences, and are excited to meet and work with these entrepreneurs.

Attorney John Carter, of Witzke Berry Carter & Wander, PLLC, is one of the co-founders of this collaboration. He says, “This collection of professionals is very unique. It includes some of the most talented people in their respective field and creates a ‘turnkey approach’ to providing customized services and solutions to entrepreneurs in the life sciences sector. This ‘turnkey approach’ includes relevant on-line information, one-on-one consultations and personalized services which are ‘scalable’ to meet any entrepreneurs needs. Interested entrepreneurs can visit the Council’s site to locate the type of expertise they need and to engage anyone of the listed professional to answer questions and assist them with their needs. The purpose of the Council is to provide many resources and options for any life science organization.”
