Educators looking for a tool to use with younger students to help begin the important conversations between students about diversity and inclusion now have "To the Party," an original composition and video performed by musician and OUSEHS professor, Dr. Anthony (Tuf) Francis. A musician for more than 20 years, Tuf was playing around with his guitar one day, entertaining his own young children. He came up with a catchy tagline about going to a party, which later developed into the song and video filmed at his children's school, Meadowbrook Elementary in Rochester. The Meadowbrook Principal, along with others in Rochester Public Schools, plans to use the video to deliver the message of belonging in a diverse world.

“I was thrilled to be involved,” Berg said. “The project exemplifies the core values that our faculty shares with our parent community. The music video speaks to many district-wide efforts Rochester Schools are making to enhance cultural competency as they relate to teaching and learning.”
