Ms. Miller is an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) with certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner through the American Nurses Credentialing Center. She is currently a full time visiting faculty member, teaching in undergraduate basic BSN/ASD tracks and graduate FNP/AGNP Nurse Practitioner programs.

In addition to her faculty role, Ms. Miller currently maintains clinical practice as a Nurse Practitioner within the department of Athletic Performance at Oakland University. Under a duel clinical-leadership role, Ms. Miller has implemented an in-house clinic offering primary care services specifically tailored to meet the diverse health needs of Oakland University intercollegiate student athletes. Within this role, she provides collaborative care with physician colleagues, athletic trainers, sport nutritionists, and supporting ancillary medical staff. She is also a current member of the Executive Committee for Athletic Medicine with fellow team physicians and medical staff from Crittenton Hospital.

Ms. Miller also has clinical experience with all ages across the lifespan. Her previous clinical experience is inclusive to pediatric nursing, with a concentration in neonatal and pediatric intensive care. While practicing in pediatrics, Ms. Miller completed a critical care internship program for neonatal nursing at Royal Oak Beaumont Hospital. She also has experience working in outpatient infectious disease and infusion nursing. Upon certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner in 2006, her areas of clinical practice are inclusive to inpatient neurosurgery, primary care, internal medicine, orthopedics & sports medicine, and more recently, health care for intercollegiate student athletes.
