The Oakland University Alumni Association (OUAA) recently announced four new members voted on to its Board of Directors.

 

The new representatives include Lori (Zajko) Wingerter; Eleanor LewEllen Reynolds; Nicholas Kristock; and Robert Ray. Kristock will be stepping into a one-year vacancy, while the remaining three members will begin three year terms each. Kristock will have the opportunity to continue into a new three-year term next spring.

 

Wingerter, SHS `85, of Oakland Township, serves as Vice President of the General Motors Foundation in Detroit. While at Oakland, Wingerter’s focus of study was industrial health and safety.

 

Reynolds, SEHS `74, is an Auburn Hills resident and recently retired as Assistant Vice President of Student Affairs and Director of Admissions at Oakland University. Reynolds, who was named Outstanding Administrative Professional at the university in 2012, is also active with Local College Access Networks in the Pontiac and Avondale school districts, which helps young people and their families prepare for post-secondary education.

 

Kristock, SBA `13,`14, lives in Novi and was very active during his time at Oakland. He was the recipient of the Student Leader of the Year, Human Relations and Senior CLASS awards in 2013 and played on the University’s varsity soccer team for four years. Kristock is the founder of Fleece and Thank You, a nonprofit organization that provides handmade, fleece blankets to every patient bed in every children’s hospital chemotherapy and radiotherapy ward. He also founded Gigs for Food, a nonprofit that funds Christian missionaries around the world, and Mission 50K, a service-based movement looking to accrue 50,000 service and volunteer hours in six months.

 

Ray, SBA `05, is a Senior Wealth Strategy Associate at UBS Financial Services, Inc., in Farmington Hills. A hometown alum, Ray lives in Rochester and has served on a variety of local boards, including the Rochester City Council; the Rochester Regional Chamber of Commerce; the Rochester Area Youth Assistance; the Rochester Historical Commission; the Rochester Community Emergency Response Team, and others. Ray also spoke at Oakland’s 2012 and 2016 commencement ceremonies, and has been previously named as one of Oakland County’s Elite 40 Under 40.

 

The OUAA Board is a 24-member body that is called upon by the University to give advice on all matters relating to alumni and specifically provides counsel to the Alumni Relations Office, the president of Oakland University and the OU Board of Trustees.
