Kitty Dubin is an award winning playwright whose work has been produced in cities across the country, including New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, and Austin, Texas. She has been teaching beginning and advanced classes in Playwriting at Oakland University for the past twenty years. In that time, over one hundred of her students' plays have received awards, staged readings or full productions. 

Kitty's plays have been performed at many theaters in Michigan, including the Purple Rose, Tipping Point, and Performance Network. In addition, she is Playwright-in-Residence at the Jewish Ensemble Theatre, where she has had six plays produced, RIGHTS OF PASSAGE being the most recent. She received a bachelor's degree from Case Western Reserve University, a master's degree in English from Wayne State University, a master's degree in Guidance and Counseling from Oakland University, and a post-graduate degree in Writing for the Stage, Screen and Television from Wayne State University.
