The annual Let’s Move Festival of Races based in downtown Mount Clemens continues to thrive as more than 2,000 runners participated this year.

“We are a proud sponsor of this great community event,” said Julie Trube, interim executive director of OU in Macomb County. “This year was even more special as Kelsey Bragg, one of the runners we sponsored, won the women’s half marathon and the weather remained our friend the entire time.”

The women’s half marathon is one of the major races that highlights the 3-day event. There is also a team relay event and a 5k event. The race course included the heart of downtown Mount Clemens, the banks outlining the Clinton River and the along shores of Lake St. Clair.

The winners in the main races included: Jimi Minnema, 1:17:23 in the men’s half marathon; Kelsey Bragg 1:29:05 in the women’s half marathon; Blink and You’ll Miss Us 1:34:20 in the team relay run; and Scott Moore, 17:42, and Rachel Walny, 19:24 in the 5k races.
