Journalism

With a degree in journalism, you will be prepared to work in any field that emphasizes the value of the written and spoken word.

Through optional minors in areas such as advertising, public relations or social media, you can tailor your education to make yourself more marketable to these industries. Upon completion of the degree, you will be equipped with a solid practical and technical knowledge base as well as an understanding of the legal, ethical and theoretical aspects of journalism and its critical role in a democracy. You will also learn the dual concepts of press freedom and press responsibility.
