Business Minor for Non-Business Majors

A minor in business empowers students with the skills to move into management or launch their own business. Whether majoring in engineering, the arts, science, health or another field, a business minor provides a valuable way to expand your career options. With a minor in business, students gain an understanding of managerial, administrative and basic accounting skills, business models and managerial insight.

Program OverviewCourse Requirements Request Information for Business Minor

The business minor provides non-business majors with exposure to various disciplines in the business arena through completion of six courses. The minor is tailored with courses to maximize students’ abilities to gain knowledge and skills in a concentrated time frame.

Students often select this minor because of a connection with their major, simple interest in the area, or with the expectation that they may start their own business someday. Students looking to minor in business can pair this concentration with a variety of other business and non-business majors, enhancing their career opportunities. Career and Life Design Coaches can help students narrow their career focus.

Interested in adding the minor? Feel free to schedule an appointment that works with your schedule with any SBA adviser through Trac Cloud.
